About the Company
Baabuk was founded in 2013 on a strong conviction. Wool – one of the oldest fibres in the world – offers superior natural performance to many so-called ‘innovative’ materials such as Gore-Tex, while remaining renewable and biodegradable. Founded in Switzerland, we chose to put this material back at the heart of modern footwear.
Our mission is to develop sustainable, comfortable and profitable products, working directly with artisan workshops in Nepal and Portugal. By opening up our capital to the community today, we are pursuing a long-term vision: to prove that a responsible model can also be economically successful.

Testimonials

Our Vision - Why invest in Baabuk?
The world is changing rapidly, and new barriers are emerging. At the same time, many consumers want to buy less, but better. At Baabuk, we see these changes as an opportunity for growth – driven by an authentic brand, purposeful products and a loyal community.
After twelve years in business and more than 250,000 products sold in Switzerland and internationally, we now want to accelerate our development with your help.
This fundraising campaign aims to support our sales efforts while consolidating the foundations of our company.
It will enable us to strengthen our position in German-speaking Switzerland and in key European markets, such as Germany. In particular, we plan to develop our retail presence through pop-ups and collaborations with retailers who share our values. This will allow us to meet new customers and introduce them to our world.
The funds will also be used to expand our product range to offer models suitable for all seasons and different uses, while continuing our innovative work with wool and natural materials.
Finally, part of the funds will be devoted to optimising our logistics and operational processes in order to improve our margins and make our operations more efficient.
More broadly, the increased liquidity resulting from this campaign will enable us to adapt our production more quickly to changes in demand, optimise production volumes and secure our entire production chain during this growth phase.
With this crowdinvesting campaign, we invite our community to actively participate in the next stage of the Baabuk adventure – a Swiss adventure that is sustainable and forward-looking.

FAQ
Why did you choose crowdinvesting as your financing method?
We chose crowdinvesting because it perfectly reflects our approach to business: human, transparent and collective. Since our inception, Baabuk has been built on the trust of our community - customers, partners and friends – who have supported us every step of the way. It therefore seemed natural to us to open up our capital to those who share our values. Crowdinvesting allows us to preserve our independence while directly involving our community in the growth of the brand. It is a concrete way of involving our customers in our mission.
How did you calculate the company's valuation?
The valuation of CHF 8 million corresponds to approximately 6x Baabuk's current turnover (CHF 1.3 million). This multiple is consistent with the standards observed for independent brands in the sustainable footwear/lifestyle sector, with a strong brand, a loyal customer base and identified growth potential in Europe.
Do I have voting rights?
Baabuk investors do not have formal voting rights, but they become true partners of the brand. As co-owners, they will enjoy exclusive benefits on our products and will be asked to give their opinion on key projects that will guide Baabuk's development.
This is a concrete way to participate in the adventure and help shape our future together.
Will I receive dividends?
Yes. If Baabuk's financial results allow it, a portion of the profits may be redistributed as dividends to co-owners. Our goal is to build healthy and sustainable growth in order to create shared value between the company and its community of investors.
Is an exit planned?
An exit is envisaged in the medium to long term, depending on Baabuk's development and market opportunities. Our priority remains to grow the brand sustainably, then to consider an exit that allows our investors to realise a capital gain while respecting the spirit and values of Baabuk.
